ABOUT THAT WHAT’S WILD

That What's Wild is a London-based theatre company, founded in 2023. We primarily stage work concerned with the intricacies and complexities of womanhood and aim to provide platforms for woman and non-binary artists.

The company was formed by founder and creative director Cesca Echlin, and is supported by associate artist Abby McCann and associate producer Molly Hands.

That What’s Wild’s debut show Looking for Giants previewed at Camden People’s Theatre in July 2023, before it’s August 2023 run at Underbelly Cowgate as part of the Edinburgh Fringe. It transferred to the King’s Head Theatre in London for a successful two week run in January 2025.

Currently, the company act as the creative team for scratch night A Word After A Word After A Word, aiming to provide a platform for new pieces from woman and non-binary writers, directed by woman and non-binary directors. The night acts as a launchpad for new work, and a space for writers, directors and performers alike to network and form new creative connections.

The inaugural AWAAWAAW sold out the Union Theatre in Waterloo for one night in June 2025, with a second iteration upcoming on 2nd November 2025.
